Blessed are the Sick

Much slower and with better songs (in my opinion) then before! Altars of
Madness are a very good album also (I haven’t heard it enough to be able
to give it a fair review) but I think this is better. The music fits M.A.
better then the faster earlier or the newer stuff. The songs are apart
from the speed not much different from before. I love this album and ranks
it as their one best and a classic in the D.M. genre. David Vincent’s
vocals who I might add are naturally as dark is one of the best ever, pure
eventhough growling. There are 4 intros/outros and 9 songs too enjoy,
several great ones.

Covenant

Nice cover but in all a disappointing album. It’s a bit faster then
”Blessed…” but nothing in comparison to their earlier stuff. The material
has not the same high quality as usual so it tend to get boring in the
long run. Only the last song ”God of Emptiness” is a rememberable track.
Also the keyboard work on ”Nar Mattaru” is great stuff.

Domination
I thought I'd give this album a fair review when I finally had the
chance. My old note was abit embaressing and very unfair. It was based
on the video exclusivly. It sounds much more like the earlier brutal
fast stuff then the doomier Covenant. It's complexed and pounding in
the same way as Immortal's "Blizzard Beasts". Very good riffs and
David's great vocals. I didn't like the way they industrialised them on
"Were the slime lives" but after a couple of times I've learned to like
them aswell. It's a sad fact that this became David's last studio
album, but what an album it is, this is superb stuff. Their live album
released after this is suppoosed to be very good, but I haven't had the
previlage to hear it yet. On their latest album they have a new singer
which I'm told is doing a good job replasing David, but he's not as good
of course.
